PROFESSOR E METODÓLOGO DE BALLET
INTENSIVE COURSE OF DANCE
The course is organized by initiative of Reynaldo Muniz, methodologist of the Cuban Ballet School, and Danielle Pavam, ballerina, teacher and choreographer in partnership with the Corpo Escola de Dança (Grupo Corpo’s Ballet School). It aims to make known the techniques and theoretical principles of the Cuban Ballet School, as well as to contribute for the integration of dance through interchanges of ideas and experiences. The Course Intensivo de Dança is addressed to students and professionals interested in enhancing their knowledge with technique, style and interpretation according to the academic concepts of the classical dance, with diverse disciplines that are part of the practice of dance taught by distinguished Cuban and Brazilian ballet masters.
This course is for two weeks and is conducted once per year, in January, at the Grupo Corpo Company’s place.
DISCIPLINES
Ballet and points
Based on the method of teaching of the Cuban Ballet School, with three levels: beginner, for children and youths (ballet), intermediated and advanced (ballet and points)
Repertory
Learning about the Great Works of the classical repertory
Practice (Intermediated and advanced levels)
Pas de Deux
Learning the technique of the classical dance in duo, and the different pas de deux of the traditional repertory (Intermediated and advanced levels)
Theoretical classes
Based on the method of teaching of the Cuban Ballet School: Stage I (1st and 2nd years of the Elemental Level) for those who attend for the first time, Stage II (3rd and 4th year of the Elemental Level), Stage III (5th year of the Elemental Level), Stage IV (2nd and 3rd years of the Mid Level), and Stage V (points, both Elemental and Mid Levels).
